Android countertop terminal with a 5" touchscreen, physical keypad, built-in printer and wired Ethernet.
Overview
A countertop Android terminal that keeps a physical keypad alongside its 5" touchscreen: wired Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi, a 2" thermal printer, and tap, chip and swipe acceptance.
The Dejavoo P1 is an Android countertop terminal for a fixed position on a counter. It runs on Ethernet or dual-band Wi-Fi and has no cellular radio, so it belongs where there is a network point rather than in a hand or at a table.
Its distinguishing feature is that it did not give up its keypad. A 5-inch HD touchscreen handles the Android interface, and fifteen physical alphanumeric keys sit alongside it. For a counter where staff key amounts all day without looking down, or where a member of staff finds a touchscreen awkward, that is a practical difference rather than a cosmetic one.
It accepts tap, chip and swipe, and prints on a 2-inch thermal printer at 70mm per second on standard 58mm rolls. There is a rear camera, and a lithium polymer battery, which is unusual on a countertop unit - the manufacturer's documentation states one, so it is recorded, though the device is designed to run on mains power.
Two points worth confirming before you order. Dejavoo's 09/24 documentation says the rear camera supports optional 1D and 2D barcode scanning; its 04/25 documentation for the same model does not mention scanning at all. If you need to scan, confirm it for the unit you are quoted. And neither Dejavoo document states a PCI PTS level for this model, so this page does not claim one - if a specific PTS level is a requirement for you, ask us to confirm it in writing with the manufacturer before you commit.
