Clover Flex Pocket

The Clover Flex Pocket is the slimmest terminal in the Clover handheld range, built for staff who carry a device for a whole shift. At 26.7 mm thick and 360 grams it fits an apron or jacket pocket, while still running the full Android point-of-sale rather than acting as a reader for a phone. It connects over Wi-Fi or 4G LTE and takes swipe, chip and contactless payments including mobile wallets.

The trade-off against the printer-equipped handhelds is deliberate and worth being clear about: the Pocket has no receipt printer. It suits businesses that issue digital receipts by email or text, or that print from a separate station when a paper copy is needed. If every sale needs a printed receipt in the customer's hand at the point of payment, a terminal with an integrated printer is the better fit and we will say so.

It works well for queue-busting in retail, roaming order-taking in hospitality, stock checks using the built-in 1D/2D scanner, and mobile trade such as markets, deliveries and appointments at a customer's premises. The 4000 mAh battery is sized for a full trading day, and it charges over ordinary USB Type-C rather than needing a dock. Certification covers PCI PTS 6.x with EMV contact and contactless, and accessibility is supported through a tactile PIN entry aid, volume control and voice guidance over the audio jack.

Which Clover software plan the device runs, whether LTE is included and on what data terms, and which accessories are supplied all depend on your account rather than the hardware, so we confirm them during setup. Clover hardware requires a merchant processing agreement.
